I can't believe I've never added these! This is Collin at just a few days old. I put some pictures of him on my Facebook page, but completely forgot about my blog! SORRY!! Seriously. How cute is this little man!?! He almost made me want to try for baby #3, but then I figured that between time and $$ that was not an option! Good thing I get to take pictures of these sweet babies...it is a way for me to get over wanting my own!! :)

It's true...the more kids you have, the less pictures you take of the youngest! I've been busy, as well as my sister-in-law, so getting together to take three kids' pictures, proves to be quite difficult. We did manage to snap a couple of my youngest nephew, Owen. He's 4 months old, but for tradition's sake, let's just say these are his THREE MONTH pictures!! :)

He sure is a smiley little man!!

I've never done a First Communion pictures before, so this was my first attempt! :) Since the weather was sooo crazy this spring, we opted for an indoor and more traditional session. We didn't fare too badly, considering we were done in less than 30 minutes. Miss B went to school with my son almost 5 years ago and just became a big sister for the first time this past week!! What a big week for their family!! Congratulations on the First Communion and the new baby boy!! I can't wait to meet him! :)

I have ANOTHER nephew!! He made a surprise debut on Christmas Eve morning!

Meet Owen John, who joins big brother Eli and big sister Abby...Tim and Natalie's third child in 2.5 years!! This was a two-day photo extravaganza. Owen was not too excited to have his pictures taken on day 1, but day 2 proved to be much easier!! Thank goodness!! I would have hated to miss out on all his newborn goodness!!

I finally got to chase him around town for some pictures. I have always said that my nephew was the hardest one to photograph but Mr. M takes the cake on that one. This baby...

...is now this big wONEderful girl.

Reagan is a typical one year old...on the loose. She was a flurry of motion the entire two hours I followed her around. She didn't slow down for a second. Not even for her cupcake. She had a wonderful personality and truthfully, just didn't want to be bothered by me.

Take a 90 degree day, throw in tons of humidity and three boys who don't want their pictures taken...and look at the miracles we found!! Some of the lighting in the backyard made for VERY sparkly eyes and a bit of shade coverage! I usually don't sweat a lot...but this session had me a MESS. These boys made me work!! Good thing I'm good friends with their mom...I wouldn't do that for just anyone!

Here are Abby's 9 month pictures...PART ONE! We'll be doing more on Sunday. Abby is about 9 and a half months old! She's sitting in her great great grandma's suitcase, who shares her middle name, Grace. I love the family connection here!! I had SO much fun today!! I got to take pictures of one of my dearest friend's son! We laughed so hard that almost half of my pictures were blurry and out of focus. Andrew found his groove though and really worked his model magic!! :) I think you were meant for photography, Andrew!! You must get it from your mom!!! Kristi, you should be proud. Today was COLD, WET and WINDY! Not a pleasant way to take pictures...but we survived!

This is my cousin, Jon. I got to spend the afternoon with he and his mom exploring a forest preserve. He assured me that it was worth it...and he was right. It was very pretty, but due to the weather, we didn't get too much time to walk around. I will definitely go back...when it's warmer!

My Very 1st Niece - Miss Abby

Time's are a changin'!!

There are some changes being made to Amy Ward Photography! Life is full of lessons and I've learned a few hard ones this week. There are some upcoming changes being made to my website, photography forms, and even with the ordering process. All changes will be effective July 15th.

Please remember, I work very hard to make sure that your portraits maintain professional standards. It is devastating for me to learn that my work is being copied from my own clients through the use of scanners. Please remember that these images are copyrighted and it is illegal to scan, copy or reproduce in anyway!! Not only that...it hurts my feelings!!

Stay tuned for the new changes!! Things are going to get fun around here and it's about time!!

Could this little man be ANY cuter? He was ADORABLE...not to mention he behaved VERY WELL!! He was such a trooper. That being said, he does hold the world record for the most 'accidents' EVER in my newborn portrait experiences. 8 TIMES...I think he got his Dad, 5 of those times. This is my cousin's dear friend who wanted to take her senior pictures with me, too! :) We fought the elements...wind, sun and attack geese, but we survived. This was a fun photo shoot because Sam and 'S' shared an appointment and even jumped in for a few 'friend' shots. I loved listening to their bantering back and forth...it was a fierce competition to see who could out 'model' the other! I think it's a tie! They were both amazing!

My curly-q cousin is a senior. This certainly made me feel old. Lately, I haven't feel that old when I take senior pictures, but today was quite different. She's all grown up with adult goals and a direction in life. She is still a silly kid and we certainly have the same sense of humor. (It runs in the family.) D & R were great sports when they had their Christmas pictures taken on Wednesday. They were really fun and well behaved (always a plus) and they photograph PERFECTLY well! I had ANOTHER session with a senior boy and I have to say....BOYS ARE SO EASY TO TAKE PICTURES OF!! They do what you ask them to and their sessions are over QUICKLY!! My only problem is they are so tall. Every senior I've taken this year is over 6' tall. I have to start bringing a ladder! This guy is not only smart, but apparently very talented on the saxaphone AND going into engineering! He's got a bright future!! :) Thanks for letting me take your pictures! I hope you like them!!

Here is "Z" - a senior from a local high school...He was a natural in front of the camera!! After the fight to get him to take pictures, we managed to pull out a couple keepers for his mom!! (We even worked through some technical difficulties...MY CAMERA!) :) Thanks Z, for being such a trooper!

Meet Mister M. He was such a fun toddler! I don't even attempt to take pictures of my own toddler anymore, so I had forgotten how quick they really are when the camera is around. I woke up the next morning quite sore and then remembered why...I was down at his level all afternoon! :) He was full of personality and quite a character. T & M, I hope you like your "sneak peek." Baby E = My New Nephew

These are of my new nephew, who was about 10 days old. He has been my most trying client to date. Not only did he NOT SLEEP...but he made quite the mess on most everything that touched his soft sweet skin! However, I think we managed to get something...even if it did take two different days and several hours to get it...

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of such a special time in your lives. I had a wonderful time meeting you! Baby "G" is perfect! The baby and the family were perfect, obviously, and they made me job very easy! Baby "G" slept most of the time and posed perfectly. I think I managed to take pictures for almost 3 hours. Thanks to "E" for setting it up and getting everyone so well coordinated. They all looked wonderful. It was nice to meet you all! This was the first time I've taken a large family picture, but I was up for the challenge and I think they turned out well. I hope you like them!

Milestones - Take 2

The "other" baby is turning 8 months this week too...He's standing on his own and doing small steps when holding onto our fingers. He's still very good and always happy. I had to take a couple of indoor pictures of him, since the weather was so bad outside this week. Sorry to those of you that we rescheduled. Hopefully next week's weather is better...Who is ready for Halloween???

We are having a 5th birthday here this week (10/24)! I have a 5 year old. WOW. It's still shocking to say he's 5 years old. My "baby" is not such a baby anymore. He even looks like a boy. Today he informed me that he had hair on his arms and he was "so excited to be turning into a man". Little does he know that he has a long way to go until he's really a man...but my baby is definitely a BIG BOY. Happy 5th Birthday little man! :)

The "G" Family. What a fun time...I used to work in a dental office when these kids were LITTLE. When "G" was little he would always try to get behind my desk and be silly. Now he's starting high school and his sister, "H" is going to be a senior. My how time flies!

It was fun to shoot a "local" family...especially since they are friends with my aunt and uncle. I had to impress this time. I hope I did.

This is "E", the cutest 6 month old I have ever seen! Of course he is, he's mine. I had to take a few pictures for his 6 month pictures and he gave me about 5 minutes total before he decided to crawl away and end it! Here they are. I am one pround mommy!

Yes...I did this shot last time with the twins.

Meet "I"...

WOW!! This session had me running. Literally. Between the humidity, the flooded pond and the MAD MOSQUITOES, little "I" gave me and her mom quite the workout. She was your typical 2 year old...on the run. But could she be any cuter??

The pillars were built by the "B" family's father, who passed away. These are still a reminder to their family every time they drive down Rt. 31. I can't wait to hear what "R" thinks of these!! :)
